Wear and Tear

NOTE: As you use your knife day in and day out you will notice wear in the finish. Both on the blade and the handles (scales). This is normal for metal parts that have a coating on the metal. Over time the coating will wear in places (usually edges) down to the bare metal. This process of "wearing" has been described as a patina finish. With aluminum products, there is no need to be concerned about rust forming on the wear spots. In conclusion, many of you will remove your knife from your pocket several times a day… Your knife handles (scales) will show signs of wear as a result.

*Cerakote is a ceramic-hardened coating — extremely durable but will eventually show edge wear with heavy use.*

Cooler and more uniform than the anodize Stone Gray. Reads slightly metallic. Looks like factory equipment, not a finish job.

Same Grivory replacement story as the full-size — sized for the Mini. Aggressive coring keeps the Mini's pocket-disappearing profile while swapping polymer for aluminum. The Mini gets even more of the upgrade benefit, since the stock scales are thinner and flex more under hand pressure than the full-size Bugout's.

An increasing number of clones (imitation knives) are being sold, so do your homework to confirm you aren't unknowingly buying a counterfeit knife. To disassemble you'll need T-6 and T-10 Torx drivers.
