Wear and Tear

NOTE: As you use your knife day in and day out you will notice wear in the finish. Both on the blade and the handles (scales). This is normal for metal parts that have a coating on the metal. Over time the coating will wear in places (usually edges) down to the bare metal. This process of "wearing" has been described as a patina finish. With aluminum products, there is no need to be concerned about rust forming on the wear spots. In conclusion, many of you will remove your knife from your pocket several times a day… Your knife handles (scales) will show signs of wear as a result.

*Cerakote is a ceramic-hardened coating — extremely durable but will eventually show edge wear with heavy use.*

Modification Disclaimer
Please note that modifying your knife may void the manufacturer's warranty.

Description

The default. Disappears in the pocket, reads neutral anywhere, and shows wear last. If you want one scale that works for everything, this is it.

Ditch the FRN. Elevate Your EDC. The Spyderco Para Military 2 Lightweight is an incredible slicer, but the factory fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handles can feel cheap and flex under hard use. Our CNC-machined aluminum scales replace that flex with rigid, premium structure—giving you the solid feel of a standard PM2 without ruining the lightweight balance you bought the knife for.

Machining for the Para 2 LW requires complex, tight-tolerance pocketing to correctly house the nested lock mechanism. We machine these in-house from solid aerospace-grade aluminum billet to ensure the internal geometries are flawless. The result is a perfect drop-in fit, a centered blade, and that signature glass-smooth compression lock action right out of the box — all for 0.43 oz over stock.

The Aimfront Advantage:

  • Material: CNC-machined Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum
  • Finish: Black Anodize (Type III Hardcoat, 68 Rockwell)
  • Pattern: Flow Path 3D contouring for secure grip and smooth pocket deployment
  • Compatibility: Fits Spyderco Para Military 2 Lightweight ONLY. Will not fit the standard Paramilitary 2.
  • Hardware: No additional hardware required; installs with the stock Para Military 2 Lightweight hardware

10% of all sales go to the Fallen Firefighter Fund. We're a career firefighter family — giving back to this profession matters to us. Lifetime warranty. Made in the USA.
