Wear and Tear

NOTE: As you use your knife day in and day out you will notice wear in the finish. Both on the blade and the handles (scales). This is normal for metal parts that have a coating on the metal. Over time the coating will wear in places (usually edges) down to the bare metal. This process of "wearing" has been described as a patina finish. With aluminum products, there is no need to be concerned about rust forming on the wear spots. In conclusion, many of you will remove your knife from your pocket several times a day… Your knife handles (scales) will show signs of wear as a result.

*Cerakote is a ceramic-hardened coating — extremely durable but will eventually show edge wear with heavy use.*

Description

Burnt Bronze Cerakote over CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum scales in Aimfront's Flow Path pattern.

The stock Para Military 2 Lightweight is built to disappear in the pocket. Our goal with this version is different: keep the Lightweight platform nimble, but give it a more planted, premium feel in hand. The scales are pocketed on the inside to remove unnecessary weight, while intentionally leaving enough material to improve balance and make the knife feel more solid.

Stock Para Military 2 Lightweight weight is approximately 2.77 oz. With Aimfront aluminum scales installed, total knife weight is approximately 3.2 oz.
