We proudly present our aluminum Benchmade Mini Bugout scales. Elevate your knife with our sleek, lightweight, and durable scales. Because let’s face it, even awesome knives need a makeover sometimes.

Design Philosophy

We went with aluminum because it’s like the Goldilocks of materials: lightweight yet tough. Our honeycomb design preserves the Mini Bugout’s slim profile while ensuring durability.

Coating Choice

We chose Type III Hardcoat Anodize due to its incredible wear resistance and hardness (Rockwell 68).  TYPE III Hardcoat Anodizing color will vary ‘slightly’ from batch to batch, and there will be mottling present on some scales. We will do our best to ensure these variations are minimal.  If you are after consistent color from batch to batch then Cerakote is the better choice.

Assembly Information

  • Scales Only: This listing includes scales only; knife not included. Purchase your Benchmade Bugout from an authorized retailer to avoid counterfeit products.
  • Disassembly Tools: You’ll need T-6 and T-10 torx drivers for installation. Purchase them here.
  • Installation Guide: Watch our video tutorial here for step-by-step instructions.
  • Maintenance: For optimal performance, use Nano-oil for lubrication.

NOTE: As you use your knife day in and day out you will notice wear in the finish. Both on the blade and the handles (scales). This is normal for metal parts that have a coating on the metal. Over time the coating will wear in places (usually edges) down to the bare metal. This process of “wearing” has been described as a patina finish. With aluminum products, there is no need to be concerned about rust forming on the wear spots. In conclusion, many of you will be removing your knife from your pocket several times a day… Your knife handles (scales) will show signs of wear as a result.
